    2. Rivervale is a small community just outside of Lepanto, AR, I believe a short distance maybe north. Anyway is not on the hwy to Marked Tree or on hwy 140 toward Osceola, so believe it is north. There has never been much of a town there, just a store or two and a couple of VERY rough night spots. And yes, the river does run under another river there. Rivervale is still there. Joyce Shelton McFarland

    1. Re: [ARMISSIS] Riverville, AR
    2. To: family-man: I think you are the one asking about Riverville. I'm guessing you are referring to Rivervale which is in Poinsett County, but very near the Craighead County line, and probably near the Mississippi County line, also. I was born at Rivervale in 1922 and it existed sometime before that, so is an old community. According to the USGS there is a church there now, altho when I was born it was a timber cutting community and the river was used to float the logs down to the sawmills. Rivervale is place of interest due to the fact that one river crosses another river. I think it is done by a siphoning process, but not sure of this fact. Maybe someone out there could tell us just how it is done. I left that part of the country so long ago that I don't remember all of the details. Dema DAUGHERTY Magers
