    1. [ARMISSIS] HIRES
    2. Hello, I am looking for any information on a man named Joseph or J.D. Hires that lived in Luxora and/or Osceola. All I know is that he died in 1950 in a car accident, had two daughters, one of the daughters was called Babe, and that his children might have moved to Memphis before his death. He may have had siblings in Osceola, but i don't know their names or ages. Can anyone help me? Thank you for your attention, April in Washington State www.geocities.com/virgo82676

    2. The records at the Historical Museum are from around the 1885 period until about 1920. There are several records still at the court house in Osceola during this period also. There are a lot of tax records at the museum. The court house was going to throw the books in the Mississippi River and Dr. Eldon Fairley saved them. He is very active in the society. I thought they were only open on Wednesday afternoon but saw somewhere that they were open on Sunday afternoons also. However, I would check the opening days before you go. Good luck with your search. Joyce Shelton McFarland

    3. Blytheville Library has most of the records that we found when there visiting. Osceola has a historical museum that is only open one day during the week but the people at the library there called one of the ladies that ran it and they came down and opened it for us. I don't know if there is a virus attached to this attachment or not, but I would advise deleting it if you have not already opened it. I ran my virus scan program file and it did not detect any problems, but better to be safe than sorry. I'm sorry for any problems or inconvenience this may cause. Jim
