Does anyone know about the Circuit Preacher, or whoever ?? , that went around and performed marriages out in the country back in the 1860's? I am transcribing the "marriages found in deed record book L", Circuit Clerks Office, many of the dates are the same, or close dated. I would love to get some history to go with these marriages.
