The deed records should be at the Texarkana, ARKANSAS court house, the county seat. Do you know if your Great-grandmother RACHEL RAMSEY had a brother named (Edward or Edmond) ED RAMSEY that married PARALEE HENDREN (1875-1948) at Fouke on 11-12-1898? Uncle Ed was born in 1874 and died in 1934 at Fouke, Arkansas where he and Aunt Paralee had lived throughout their marriage. I am descended from Aunt Paralee's sister, ELIZA ANN HENDREN SANDERS (1869-1969), my grandmother, who also lived at Fouke ~ well, actually closer to Independence and Fairland. The Hendrens had moved to the area from near Langston, Jackson County, Alabama around 1893-5. Believe they had known some of the Ramseys in Alabama too.
