I have a general store ledger dated 1855 which belonged to James Deas Blanton, a prominent citizen and mercantile businessman in Miller County, AR circa 1856. This book, along with other legal documents, was passed to me by my late father from his great-grandmother. I have just finished reading "The Blantons of Spring Bank" and am wondering what connection Ceasar Abraham, my ancestor, had to the Blanton family and how and why this book came into my family's possession and survived all these years. From an inscription in the book, I know that Ceasar worked for Blanton from 1868 to 1869. Can anyone help? I am also willing to have the book copied and sent to someone for transciption.
