My g-g-g-grandfather was John Bardell Stiffler, who trapped in and around the Marion/Carroll Co. areas in the late 1830's - early 1840's. An early Stiffler researcher wrote once that she had found where John paid taxes in 1842 in Marion Co.. Is there an index for this year for tax records, and if so, would anyone be willing to look up John's tax info & send me a copy?
