Well, it was a thought. You mentioned Carroll Co too. Maybe that's another place to look for him. I can tell you this much - there's no Stiffler in the Izard Co (from which Searcy/Marion/etc were formed) 1830 nor in the MCAR 1850 nor in the Searcy Co 1850.
