Ar Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ar/Marion/46 Surname: AVEY, ADAMS, BRANTLEY, WOOTEN ------------------------- Your family names of Avey, Adams, Brantley, Wooten and others are listed in Genealogies of Marion County Families, 1811-1900". It was published by the "Historic and Genealogical Society of Marion County, Arkansas" Rush was, in fact, a Twp in Marion Co.. The mining picture you saw includes my Grandfather, John Albert Jefferson, sitting on the rock on the left. Searcy County was formed from Marion Co. 1838. County lines changed back and forth with the following counties: Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Fulton, Lawrence, Marion , and Searcy. These are our sister counties. These counties may contain some of your family data. Also, you didn't include any dates for a frame of reference. This is necessary for identifying your family members. Exact dates aren't necessary but "About" dates would be helpful. You need to check out the US GenWeb for the counties I have mentioned above, as well. http://www.usgenweb.org/statelinks.html Click on AR and take a look at those counties to see if they have anything on your family surnames, too.
