Do you suppose it could be? My great grandparents and great great grandparents Marler were from there. But I learned it so young I just thought both my parents families did it and my children (grown) delight in it as well as the grandkids. My son is a "cop" and he has the guys down at the station and their families doing it...so it's gonna get passed on. It's just great to find others who have this tradition. I hope 2001 is just super great for all you cousins from Marion Co.
