Can you tell us more of the "vicinity" of the quake, Rhio? I have family up there and I can't get through to them. They're in Portland. Thanks, Barb P.S. My heart goes out to you, I used to live in Los Angeles. NO FUN! :( ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rhio" <rhioreh@mail.com> To: <ARMARION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2001 1:24 PM Subject: Earthquake > Hi, > > We have just been through a 6.2 earthquake in the Pacific Northwest. The area is southwest of Seattle and a very deep earthquake. I have heard that my daugher is fine but the building in which she works has suffered structural damage. Her coworker left to check out her home and she said it looked like a war zone in some places. But still NO fatalities. Just thought you'd want to know. Family in Tacoma reported that there were now 4 dead and 22 injured. I hope all of you in those areas are safe. Our prayers are with you! Take care.
