    2. Linda: I am going to order one of the CD's and try to transcribe it for you. Do you have a preference as to which one you would like on first. I logged on the webpage and I noticed that they were having a sale, so this must be a good time to buy. Colleen

    3. Hope you don't mind my putting in my two cents' worth, Colleen and Linda. Looks as if any census other than the 1880 would be useful on the web page. However, the AR 1830, MCAR 1840, MCAR 1850, MCAR 1860, MCAR 1870, MCAR 1880, and the reconstructed MCAR 1890 are all in print and available at very reasonable prices. The costs and where to get these publications are on the web page. Probably the census most needed by and useful to researchers is the MCAR 1900. That 20-year gap between 1880 and 1900 is when the mining era here in MCAR was taking off big time. The population literally exploded. For example, Rush was well on the way to its one-time population of over 5000. Added to that is the fact that most children born after 1880 will still be at home with their parents in 1900. 3. The 1840 Marion Co Census has been done by the USGenWeb Census Project. I bought the 1850 & 1870 census CDs but have had no time to even look at them much less transcribe them. I have a link on the census page to the 1850 census that someone did - but every time I turn around she moves it and the link is broken. It doesn't work again this morning <sigh>. I'd really like to have a copy of our own. Why don't you start with the 1860 census? When you get the CD let me know and I'll help you set it up. Thanks a million for offering to do this!!!!!
