    3. The 1860 MCAR census for Union Township shows: # 26 J S Carlisle 33 OH doctor. Harriet C 34 OH. Ann C Hough 13 AR. Mary J Hough 10 AR. #28 Nancy A Tutt 40 TN. D R 21 AR. Dulcenia 15 AR. Ester J 13 AR. Calvin 11 AR. The 1860 MCAR census for Jimmies Creek Township shows: #899 James M Mitchell 54 MO. Elizabeth 50 GA. James M 23 TN. Robert 22 TN. Elizabeth 17 TN. Catherine 15 TN. Jacob D 14 TN. #900 Elizabeth Johnson 47 TN. Mariam 20 TN. William M 15 TN. Elizabeth Johnson 74 TN. #901 Abraham Osborne 25 MO. Nancy 20 MO. James R 4 AR. Mary J 2 AR. Daniel 3/12 AR. Unfortunately, there are no marriage records for Marion Co before Aug 1887. That's the date when the courthouse burned to the ground taking *all* records with it. In "Boone Co Marriages Book A 1868-1876" I find an Elizabeth Johnson marrying a Samuel A Saffell on 10 July 1870. This may or may not be your Elizabeth Johnson. Because you say this family is in Boone Co AR in 1880, you might want to search their cemeteries. They are on line at http://www.rootsweb.com/~arboone and have been quite thoroughly done. "Cemeteries of MCAR" by Marian Burnes has no listings that would fit either of these families. Death records were not required in AR before Feb 1914 which makes this sort of research rather difficult. You might go to the MCAR web page http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion to see if there might be some reference in the section that refers to those cemeteries that were moved when Bull Shoals Dam was built about 1950. The Corps of Engineers kept very accurate records of every grave they moved before the newly formed Bull Shoals Lake flooded them. Unfortunately many of the markers had rotted away or were totally illegible, but they did the best they could. Sorry I can't be of more help to you. Good luck in your search.
