RICHARDSON (daughter of Richard & Charlotte [Cooper] Richardson) b MO ca 1844 d MCAR aft 1910 bu Nanny Cemetery. After William died in a horse-racing accident near Sedalia MO, Josephine moved the family to Lead Hill to be near her brother, Wiley Richardson. Moved ca 1890 to Sugar Orchard. In Sugar Loaf Township 1900, living with son William. In 1910, living with grandson Clarence. William's g-g-grandfather and Josephine's g-grandfather was AMOS RICHARDSON. Lead Hill was removed from Marion Co when Boone Co was created in 1869. Events such as births in the vicinity of the Marion-Boone Co line have been greatly confused for decades. Part of this confusion probably occurs because there is Sugar Loaf Township in MCAR as well as in Boone Co. There is no Richardson surname in the MCAR 1850 census. The only Richardson in the MCAR 1860 census is Green Richardson 18 b AR living in the Abner Cantrell household in Sugar Loaf Township. From the information above, I'd say the parents of John Wiley Richardson were Richard & Charlotte (Cooper) Richardson. I'd doubt John Wiley Richardson was born in MCAR because his older sister married in Gasconade Co MO at age 18 (Wiley would have been 14) and was doubtless living with her parents at that time.
