Please forgive me if it is not a Marion County Question. Does anyone know what the Primitive Baptist Church was or where it was? I am interested in anything about this. On my Great Great Grandfather's Tombstone it says William Anderson, b-1799 d- Nov. 1872 he helped to organize the Primitive Baptist Church on the 4th Sunday of August 1848. On the back of his Tombstone it says: "This work was put up May 1919 by his grandson, J.C. Hawkins". James C. Hawkins would have been my Great Grandfather, I think this is him mentioned on the Tombstone of William Anderson. I am also interested in any listings anyone might have in reference to the people buried in the Old Athens Cemetery in Baxter County Arkansas. Has anyone done a survey on that Cemetery recently? Any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! > Bren >
