Mysty, Thanks for letting us know about "Gleanings of Pioneer History". Sounds like it might be an interesting little book. Don, do you have a list of people who appear in the book. I would like to get a copy, if any of my family appears in the book. Thanks, again. Rhio
Mysty and/or Rhio, I don't want to sound like a "me too" but I had thought if I knew there was anything about my ancestors I would like to buy the book. But not if not!! Unfortunately, Rhio, Don did not index this little gem "Gleanings of Pioneer History." I've used it tons as a research source, but don't recall all the surnames in it. There's a bunch of stuff about the early Indians, and the early Tabor, Williams, Magness, Abram Wood, Stinnett, Obediah Wood, Hudson, etc families. Since your assorted families married into about every other family around here, there's a good chance one or more of them is at least mentioned. Won't swear to it though <g> Oh, yes, tax and shipping are included in the $5 so it's no huge investment. It's around 30-35 pages (I'm guessing - I've not seen the transcription yet).
