Another rather interesting historical resource that includes Magness information is the manuscripts of Silas Claiborne Turnbo. All 27 of his manuscripts are accessible from the Marion Co web page http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion - and they're searchable <grin> The Society has a copy of "The Magness Migration 1733-1986" by Verna A Magness (1986) [out of print, I believe]. If I can look up anything for you in this or in "Genealogies of Marion Co Families 1811-1900" by Mysty McPherson and Vicki Roberts (1997) about any particular Magness, please don't hesitate to contact me.
