You're entirely welcome, Robert. I, too, fell for all these warnings and passed them on for several months before I learned how to check out each and every one. I just make sure my anti-virus program is updated at least once a week, check out each "warning" when it arrives, try to notify folks of a URL where virus/hoaxes can be checked out, and keep my fingers crossed. Oh, and I *do not" open attachments - period. So far, that's the best I can come up with for my own protection. Seems to work pretty well - I'd say that only three infections in five years is a pretty good record since I get around 2-400 emails a week <smile> Mysty shakerag@mtnhome.com ************************************************* ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert Estes <bwoodshop@alltel.net> To: <ARMARION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2001 1:02 PM Subject: VIRUS HOAX > Mysty has informed me that the virus warning that I posted is a hoax. > Actually by posting it and using the URL that Mysty sent, I found that I > could do the same with the anti virus program that I use, but was not > aware of it.
