I recently sent for and received the SS-5 Application for Ulis Taylor and on it he states his name is Ulis Clinton Taylor, born July 25, 1895 MCAR; his father is Lenie Taylor and his mother is Lillie Bell Adams. He was 42 when he applied for a SS number on Dec 3, 1937. My question is - would Lenie be a nickname for Levi M. Taylor, son of William Franklin Taylor and Eliza Jane (Keeling) Taylor? Levi married Lillie Belle Adams per Big Blue. Does anyone know how I would go about confirming this? I've been working on the family of Rufus M. Taylor and Mandy Florence (Younger) Taylor. In Big Blue they are shown with 3 children, Oscar, Ulis and Stella. I found Rufus and Mandy Taylor on the 1900 St. Joe Twp. Searcy Co. AR census. She is shown as married 8 years, 3 children, 3 living and the names of the children are Liddie W., James L. and Trixie V. Taylor. According to Big Blue, Levi and Lillie Belle Taylor are found on the 1900 Hampton Twp. If someone has this census, can you please check for me to see what the names of their children are? Any help or suggestions on how to straighten this out appreciated. Wilma
