Unfortunately, John, no county records of any sort exist for Marion Co before 1887. The courthouse burned to the ground in Aug 1887 and took ALL records with it. There will not be a marriage record for John Johnson in MCAR. The only John Johnson I find in the MCAR 1880 census that might fit, is John Johnson 23 farmer b MS parents b AL, married to Catherine ___ 20 wife b AR, parents b TN. There is no mention of how long they've been married. They are living next door to James Johnson 50 farmer b AL, parents b GA, married to Arvilla ___ 44 wife b AL, parents b GA, Dora D. Johnson 17 dau, b MS, parents b AL AL, Saponia $. 14 dau b MS, parents b MS. I'm pretty sure this is John's father.
