Mike, Certainly there are a lot of folk who could help you in this area on this family. All of the folks here and before have spelled the name Treat. We have traced the name back to the 1500's and it was Trott with a few spelling it Tratt in England. John Trott b. about 1458 in Tauton Manor, Staplegrove, Somerset, England is the progenitor of this family. I have visited the area in England. You will find the entire family genealogy listed on the Marion Co. AR. web page. Although my reference file numbers for each family member is included, which makes it a little confusing, just ignore those. It is the John Trott line, (9 parts) Flippin Treat was married to Elizabeth Rose, you will fine the entire Rose genealogy there also.
