And, I can't add anything to what you've already discovered. However, I did come across this little tidbit, which might be helpful. "History of Marion Co AR" by Earl Berry, pp 459, 460. Published 1977, reprint 2002. William Williams was elected Treasurer of Marion Co for the term 1868-1972. Because of county boundary changes (Boone Co AR 1869, I believe), Williams' term was filled by William Roylston beginning in April 1870. Sorry I couldn't find anything further for you.
