    3. Do you have William Roylston, his wife Nancy A. (Sarah) St.John Roylston and their daughter Mary Ann Roylston in your book? He paid Pole Tax in Marion County, Arkansas from 1842 through 1866. No Marion County, Arkansas newspapers before 1886. His birthday was probably between 7 June and 22 August 1811. 1870 US census occupation County Treasurer of Marion County, Arkansas. Marion County created 1836 from Izard. "Some Marion County, Arkansas Early Landholders" Land Holder: Royalston, William (Earliest Date) 26 September 1853, location 18-16-25/36. They are in Marion County, Arkansas Census 1850, 1860 and 1870. I think he must be buried in Marion County as the rest of the family moved to Texas in October 1876. Any help with additional information would be appreciated. B. Don Zesch

    3. Sorry, but the Roylston family is not one of the 400+ covered in "Genealogies of Marion County Families 1811-1900." And, I can't add anything to what you've already discovered. However, I did come across this little tidbit, which might be helpful. "History of Marion Co AR" by Earl Berry, pp 459, 460. Published 1977, reprint 2002. William Williams was elected Treasurer of Marion Co for the term 1868-1972. Because of county boundary changes (Boone Co AR 1869, I believe), Williams' term was filled by William Roylston beginning in April 1870. Sorry I couldn't find anything further for you. The records simply are not here. Mysty [email protected] ****************************************** ----- Original Message ----- From: "B.
