Don, in "Genealogies of Marion Co Families 1811-1900," check No 10 on page 142 and Children of No 10 on page 143. The Shipman family (William) in Big Blue emigrated after 1880 so that one won't work. I have info on what I call the Jacob Shipman family, but find no Mary Ann Shipman b ca 1855 nor any Shipman married to any Fee. You might contact Byron Shipman at Silver Run Cabins down across from the old Dodd Canoe Rental on Rt 14-S. In my records I have a Dora HOLLAND b. 11/4/1897 married Claude Shipman on 8/31/1913. One of their children was Helen who married James Cantrell. I believe she is living so if you want her address I can email you privately. Jeanne

Don, I gave you incorrect information without going back to my files. In 1978, Dorothy Fee (b. 1906), daughter of Benjamin Franklin Fee and his third wife, Lula Newman, Henderson Fee's granddaughter, sent my mother-in-law, Flossie Yocham Wallace, information on her Fee ancestors. Included was faded photocopies of a marriage license for Henderson Fee and Margaret Myers, a page from Henderson Fee's bible (written in his own hand) listing the name, place of birth, date of birth, date of marriage and date of death of each of his children. [there are some gaps but all have the date and place of birth] and a faded typed family group sheet naming George Washington Fee, his birth date and location, death date and who he married. The sheet shows his wife as Mary Ann Shipman. On RootsWeb's WorldConnect project: Roy Fowler has listed Mary Ann Shiman as George Washington Fee's wife and that he got his information from Brenda Mitchell. In my research: George Washington Fee, his wife, Mary Ann Fee are bur. in Fairview Cemetery (four miles North of Flippin on State Rd. 178) This is also found in Cemeteries of Marion County by Lester and Marian Burnes on page 94. Also buried there is their son Benjamin Franklin Fee and his wife Lucy (Parker) Fee. The 1880 census shows George W. and Mary Fee in Franklin Township, Marion County, AR. Census taken by William Fielding on 17 Jun 1880. Listed with George (24), Mary (26), Maud (2), and Myrtle (4/12) are Robert SMITH ***brother-in-law***(14), Minerva Smith ***sister-in-law*** (17), and John Ferrell, a boarder. If the census is right, this is the correct information . . . George Washington Fee m. Mary Ann Smith between 1877-1878. Otherwise, my family group sheet for George W. and Mary Fee agree.
