The following was sent to me and I am passing it along to those who might be interested in using these new CENSUS tools. Census mail lists have been created for each state. If you have census information in your possession you might want to join the list for which you have info. To sign up you have to subscribe to: XX-CENSUS=LOOKUP-L-REQUEST@rootsweb.com for the single mail list OR XX-CENSUS=LOOKUP-D-REQUEST@rootsweb.com for the digest mode. Type one word subscribe in the body of the e-mail window. THAT IS ALL. When you post queries, drop the -REQUEST and use only the L. For instance: AR-CENSUS=LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com This will post to both mail and digest modes. (All rootsweb lists work the same for subscribing and posting.)
