Rhio I have been researching a John Payne, my GG-GF, who shows up in the 1880 Marion County, Franklin Township census with wife Mary, children Thomas, Martin & George. I was wondering if on the 1870 census, if any Payne's show up with Elisha Friend in James Creek or Jimmy Creek Township. I know this is a lot to ask, but I am finding the Payne/Friend families are linked quite closely. James Albert Payne shows up with Elisha Friend on the 1880 census, same county and township. Rebecca Payne (sister to John & James) is married to Elijah Friend with Daughter Ada. Same census, county and township. I have included the census. Thanks for any help.
