    3. There were many people from Marion county who moved to Tulsa, Ok. I have received permission from the ggrandaughter of J M Hall, one of the founders of Tulsa, to post his book "The Beginning of Tulsa" on the web. This book was written in 1927, updated in 1933 and has been out of print and almost impossible to find since the mid 1930s. The book tells the story of the beginning of Tulsa and has lots of names and bits of trivia about the early settlers. In fact a man by the name of Flippin was one of the early settlers. I have the first 20 pages up if you want to check it. The search engine has not yet spidered my site so you'll have to read <g> http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haas/learningcenter.html Last item on the page. Enjoy!
