You can choose either mode. AFHA-L@rootsweb.com (mail mode) AFHA-D@rootsweb.com (digest mode) To ask the computer to subscribe you to this or any Rootsweb list you must add -request after the 'L' or 'D' in the email address in order to ask the computer to perform a "subscribe" or "unsubscribe" function. AFHA-L-request@rootsweb.com AFHA-D-request@rootsweb.com In this case type the word subscribe in the body of your e-mail window and send to either address above. There is no need for anything on the subject line. All queries to the list require that you to drop the -request : This is the one you want to keep in your address book: AFHA-L@rootsweb.com When you wish to quit the list send the word unsubscribe in the body of the email window and send to: AFHA-L-request@rootsweb.com AFHA-D-request@rootsweb.com Hope this helps some of you out there who might find this confusing.
