If you'll go to the Yancey Co NC web page, Don, and click on the space that says 1850 census+wills+++and other stuff, you'll find a heading called Marriages. Click on this. Click on the book with the "B" for Blankenship on the spine. Scroll down 'til you come to Blankenship. Click under Grooms on G M. It says: "G M Blankenship m Sarah E Ray 12 Oct 1856." Now scroll down further to Govan. It says: "Govan Blankenship m Sarah Ray 8 Sep 1867."
