    3. Sue, your Layton family is far from gone! You need to contact Jerry Layton [email protected] He has more info on your branch of the Robert Layton family than you can imagine. I knew Miss Opal Layton, wife of your father's twin brother Lucien Augustus "Jack" Layton - quite a gal, she was. Vividly remember seeing her house being moved to make way for the Bank of the Ozarks - happily sitting on the huge trailer, slowly moving down the road, curtains a-flying at most every window. It was quite a site - and, apparently a happy one for the old house. Jerry's their son - lives in Sand Spring OK last I heard. So, you have at least one first cousin out there with lots of information for you. Don't forget, however, that the Historic Genealogical Society of Marion Co has "Genealogies of Marion Co Families 1811-1900" available to you for more details on most of the families related to the Robert Layton (b VA 1746/7) family as well as their descendants - right down to your dad. It can be ordered from HGSMCA, PO Box 761, Yellville AR 72687 for $60 + $5 s/h. Oh, by the way, Leslie Lycurgus Layton (twin son of Arthur & Pearl [Hutchison] Layton) was born Yellville 9 Aug 1903 and died Moses Lake WA ca 1983 and married ca 1939 Lola James (daughter of Warren W & Edna Agnes "Aggie [Wickersham] James) d Moses Lake WA ca 1985. Talk with you later, maybe?
