Mary J. ?, they moved to Jimmie's Creek in Marion Co, then he was killed there in the Civil War, in 1862, fighting for the Confederacy. > Charles D. CAIN was Ozark Co Sheriff between 1858-1860. He md. in 1858 to Dorothy TEVERBAUGH, dau. of Job TEVERBAUGH. He, his brother James, and nephew William were in a lot of legal trouble from 1858-1865, as they are in circuit court records a lot in that period of time. I don't really understand what it was all about. If anyone knows anything about this, please contact me. I have copies of the records, but they don't explain much about what they did. It was "disturbing the peace of a family" and "felonious assault." These three men all died in the 1860s, as they are all in probate records. Would sure like to know more about what happened to them.
