Thank you Mysty for your reply! I chose to respond on the list in hopes someone with a "clue" might see it. I have copies of the pages from the 1850 Marion County census that shows Thomas'age to be 61, which corresponds with other information I have gathered. (I have copies of several "family published" books.) I also wonder if the Eliza shown on the census as age 28 is the daughter Catherine Eliza. She is shown in the Washington County, TN 1850 census in the home of her uncle David Stevens along with her two sons George W. and Francis M. ages 2 and 1. Also, my information shows Catherine Eliza being born in 1829 and this is the age shown on the TN census. The Eliza shown on the Marion county census could be wife of Foster, otherwise where would the 9 month old Samuel belong? True enough, as the family legend goes, there were deaths of daughters-in-law from fever while enroute to AR, but Foster could have remarried to Eliza thus accounting for Daniel age 2 and Samuel 9 months. Oh yes, the family shown as family #322-323 was Henry Stevens, Margaret Adams Stevens and their first two children. Just can't figure out who this 4 year old Hudspeth child in Thomas' household would be. One possibility, if Foster did marry Eliza as second wife, was she a Hudspeth widow with this child? The more I think about this, the "muddier the water get"! Anyway, thanks again!
