My grandfather was William Anderson Harmon b 1869, he first married Sarah Elizabeth Martin. They had five children. I believe she died in childbirth. He soon after married my grandmother Greta Elizabeth Richardson (of the Stone/Searcy Cty Richardsons) in 1901. She was 13 years his junior. They moved soon after to I.T. (western OK). William's father was also named William. There is supposed to have been a town by the name of Harmon named after my Harmons, I believe it is now Prairier View. William's wife's name was Phebe (known as Teba) unk last. There is an elderly woman who shows up in several censuses with my grandfather named Mary Parris. IF she were Teba's mother she would have had to have been 50 years at the time of her birth, certainly not impossible. We, Harmon researchers, have never been able to place her for sure as Teba's mother. Unfortunately it's unclear on the census from where she was born. I'm also told that one of my grandmother's siblings, Sidney Bradshaw, as an adult, lived in Marion County but I've never had contact with any of the descendants of my grandmother's 7 siblings born in or near Marion Co.
