Mary, I doubt that Don will find either Davenport or Bell on the Benge Route list. They didn't arrive out here until well after the Civil War - the Benge Route occurred in 1838/9. And the Benge Route didn't go close to where the Ds and Bs were living at that time. Take a look at the several Trail of Tears routes - including the Benge Route - at http://rosecity.net/tears/trail/map.html. Most interesting. Don sent a list of *possible* MCAR names to the list today. Did you see it?
