Shirley, I'm afraid I can't be of much help to you because you seem not to be looking for records in Marion Co AR. There would be no county records for Joseph & Manisha (Slape) Madewell in Marion Co anyway because the courthouse burned to the ground in 1887 and *all* records were destroyed. Bellefonte and Harrison are both in Boone Co AR. However, Boone Co didn't exist before 1869. Any county records (such as a marriages) would be found in the parent county which was Carroll Co. Before 1869 you should look in Carroll Co AR. After 1869 you should look in Boone Co AR. I went in to the church records for the baptist church. looking bapttisms church records on the family's as Manisha father and brother was baptist minister and it may have marriage records to.
