Dear Jerry Bennett, I saw your message regarding Joseph Bennett of Marion Co, Arkansas. My husband is descended from Lusetta P. Bennett who married John Walter Scott. She was born in DeKalb Co, TN (or at least lived there in her early years) in 1829, then moved to Liberty Twp, St. Francis, Missouri where she md John Walter Scott. Her daughter Lucinda Evelyn Scott was born in 1860 in the above twp in MO and md. James Hiram Crownover, and they lived in James Creek twp in Marion Co, where she died in 1903. Lucinda's parents I believe were William Bennett and Jane Bennett who were born in NC, then to DeKalb Co, TN. They had several children, none that I have seen named Joseph. But there were several other Bennetts living near, and also, their older sons could have had a son named Joseph. I you want more information, let me know. Patricia Gausnell
