    3. If I remember rightly, Karen, all of the Marion Co books are indexed except "Early Days and Wartimes in Northern Arkansas" by Thomas Jerome Estes and "Gleanings of Pioneer History" by W R Jones. Both of these, however, are small enough that an index really isn't necessary. All of the census and marriage books, the cemetery book, "Early Days" by Marian Burnes, "Marion Co 1890," "Genealogies of MCAR," and all of Margie Garr's books are definitely indexed. Most - probably all - of the books have at least references (such as the census and marriage books) to your three surnames. "Genealogies of MCAR Families" is also cross-referenced to spouse families and at the end of each family is a list of the sources where information was found. More details about these books can be found on the Marion Co web page http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion. I have nearly all of them here at home and use them daily.
