Looking for anyone who has Vol I and II of my Clem family history books by Dee Clem donated by the author to the Historical Society. I have been in touch w/Dee and have been advised that these books are out of print and no longer available. Dee no longer has any copies and I am fervantly searching for anyone who may have these books and would be willing to sell them to my family. Please contact me if you have any leads on how my brother and I, who are the last of our line, would be able to acquire a set of these books. Thank you Donna Clem Weisman
Donna, The Historical Genealogical Society of Marion Co AR does, indeed, have both volumes of the Clem family history. However, I'm sorry to tell you that we're not interested in selling these books, as you probably can understand. They are in our Research Room for anyone and everyone to use - and they do get quite a bit of use, believe me. One of the primary reasons we exist is to share with everyone as much information about Marion Co as we can acquire. Unfortunately for you and your brother, these books fall into this category. I'll mention your request at the next meeting, but please don't get your hopes up. Meantime, see if Dee has kept a list of purchasers of these books. If so, you might consider contacting some of them to see if they're willing to give them up.
