If you're looking for a marriage record in Marion Co, there won't be one. The courthouse burned to the ground in Aug 1887 and absolutely no county records exist before then. James would have been of marriageable age in 1876 (aged 20) and Sarah in 1878 (aged 18). Since their first child was born in 1876, someone probably gave permission for her underage marriage which would taken place about 1875 or 1876.
