I don't usually respond to these "gatewayed" messages. However, I'm curious about this genealogy festival in Flippin AR in May. As vice-chair of the Historic Genealogical Society of Marion Co http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion, I've not heard anything at all about this event nor received any announcements about it. Do you know what group is sponsoring this event? Do you have any name or group our Society can contact for further information? The only similar event we're aware of is the North Arkansas Ancestor Fair the first weekend in June at Leslie in Searcy Co AR. This event is close to 15 years old, is free, and is always heavily attended by researchers interested in around 10 or 15 area counties (Fulton, Izard, Marion, Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Searcy, Newton, Madison, etc). We sure would be interested in whatever you can tell us about this festival in Flippin. Thanks. It was beautiful. There is a weekend genealogy festival in Flippin, AR this spring, I think in May. I may try to go.
