Thanks, Don, that gets me a step further up the tree! BTW, do you have birth place for either? One of the interesting twists here that I didn't know of was that "Granny Ott," My GGrandmother Huldah Minerva Ott (1891-1973) was the daughter of her dad's 2nd wife...and was named for his first. Wonder what Mary Rea thought of that idea! I have a cousin that I always liked an awful lot and upon suggesting his name for my son, I remembered that his name is also the name of an ex-boyfriend of my wife that she doesn't have fond memories of. Do any of y'all have the military info for James W. Patterson (1817-1881)? I know "Captain in Confederate Army" (Earl Berry's 1977 "History of Marion County," quoted at http://www.ozarkhistory.com) and came to AR in 1848, but I'm having a little trouble finding unit #, service record, ect.Mysty, thanks big-time for your time digging that stuff up for me. Final Note-- I mentioned recently the illness of Jean Roberts, the wife of my uncle Micheal (son of Binum Roberts and Mildred Ott Roberts) I spoke ! to my dad last night, and he'd heard from mom who'd traveled with her sister Tommie and her hubby Gordon Darrell to Kansas. They've move Jean from the home to a hospice, probably in Topeka though I'm not sure of that. Mike works for the Kaw Valley school district out of St. Marys, and work's been a headache lately, too. Prayers appreciated. Darren Don Ott <[email protected]> wrote:Mysty, Believe the parents of Mary Jane Rea are Thomas J. Rea b. 20 May 1832 and Amanda Ham b. 26 Sep 1833, m. 22 sep 1853.
