Haven't been able to find much on the Cantrell School, Jim, but will ask around. I do know it was operative in 1924 and that it was located on one of the Wickersham farms. It's my guess it was named for one of the many Cantrells in Marion Co, but have no idea which one. Will get back to you when I find out more.
