This cemetery is located at Ste Rte 14 near Monarch. Having just found my maternal gr grandmother likely is buried here, does anyone know much about the history of this cemetery? There is some online but it is minimal. Would the Lester Burnes book contain further information? I understand from a phone call that her grave has no headstone. Judy
Judy, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of history about Jay Bird Cemetery. Probably because burials didn't begin until about 1913 and ended about 1971. The entire list of known burials includes a mere 16 individuals. I got all this from "Cemeteries of Marion Co" by Marian & Lester Burnes. If you'll let us know who it is you're looking for, that would be a great help.
