    3. I apologize if an email was sent to the list or to anyone in my address book last week. I was out of town and an email came through for my hubby and he opened it thinking it was a resume` from one of his employees. It was the new worm, Win32/SirCam. If anyone happened to receive it, be sure and delete immediately and run your McAfee dat files to update your virus scan's capabilities. This worm came out on July 17th and is bad news. In addition to running a regular scan, you will have to disable your "restore" in My Computer, reboot in "safe mode", then delete the files and scan/clean your computer. Once you've done that, reboot in normal mode and it'll be ok. This worm "resides" in areas where a normal scan can't reach sometimes...so good luck! It is very important to update your dat files regularly. I have McAfee.com's Active Shield and it's very reasonable to subscribe now for a 2-year reduced fee. A good investment, but don't forget to "USE"! Thanks and I hope that it didn't infect anyone's files. That's the first virus I've ever had and my husband was caught totally offguard. Sincerely, Barb Whisenant

    3. County Road 164 in Marion Co AR comes out of Ozark Co. MO in Section 15 Township 21 North Range 16 West and ends in Section 24. It's paved (chip-and-seal) for about 1 1/4 miles and is a gravel road (graded by the county) for about another mile. There's maybe another 2/10 or 3/10 of a mile before the high water line of an arm of Bull Shoals Lake. No road is indicated here, but, if that land is the property of the US Corps of Engineers, it probably wouldn't show on a county road map unless it went to a boat ramp or boat dock or similar public lake access. According to DeLorme's Arkansas Atlas and Gazetteer www.delorme.com, County Road 164 parallels Pine Brook out on a point of land and stops at the water's edge. And there's a tiny little island just offshore. Although DeLorme as well as the county map indicate this as a road, it could be the equivalent of what we around here call a pig trail so I wouldn't plan to drive it the first time in a low-slung sports' car or an RV - a 4-wheeled drive vehicle or an ATV probably would be best. To find out exactly where the road goes in relation to the Corp of Engineers' boundary, you'd have to contact: Corp of Engineers 324 West 7th Street Mountain Home AR 72654 870-431-4489 They ever so nice, friendly folks and will go out of their way to be helpful. You might ask them for a copy of the portion of a USGS map of the area which indicates the road as well as the Corps' boundary. Hope this helps ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda Haas Davenport <lhaasdav@mindspring.com> To: <ARMARION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2001 1:13 PM Subject: Re: county?or state rd 164 > I'll forward this on the Marion Co list. 3. It's a case of Linda was not paying attention to what she was doing <huge sigh>. The USGenWeb's annual election was over last night at midnight and these are the people who ran unopposed so I was asking the Election Committee to approve them. The election results are confidential so I really messed up by sending this to this list. I'm asking people to please just to pretend it didn't get posted. Thanks everyone! 2. Judy Wilming
    3. To let the list know, a Wood's family member responded and has the family line that connects with this Erwin family. The person who contacted me wasn't sure of Elizabeth Jane (Anderson's) maiden name - the one that married James Erwin. (She thought she might have been a Daffron.) They have now been put in touch. One of the Wood's children in the line was Charles Wood who married "Cassie" Erwin. Judy

    3. What is it you're specifically looking for Judy? "Genealogies of Marion Co Families 1811-1900" has quite a bit of information on the Erwin family as well as the Abram Wood family and the Huddleston family into which some of the Erwins you list married. Actually, it's probably easier for you to buy the book than for you to try to figure out what information you need on which of these Erwin children. Then, too, there's the information on the grandchildren and their spouses etc. etc. According to "Cemeteries of Marion Co" by Lester & Marian Burnes, Elizabeth Jane (___) Erwin, Ernest V Erwin, William Alonzo Erwin, and Catherine "Cassie" (Erwin) Wood are buried in Flippin Cemetery. If you'll go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion you'll find a listing of all the publications the Historic Genealogical Society of Marion Co has available. This might be of help to the person trying to connect to whomever. If I can still be of help, please let me know. I'll do my best.
