Robert H.3 Reeves (Drury Pinkney Robert Levi2, Drury1) was born 03 June 1865 in Witter, Madison County, Arkansas, and died 09 August 1952 in Huntsville, Madison County, Arkansas. He married (1) Sarah Sally Ward 24 March 1887, daughter of Isaac Ward and Rosannah Foster. She was born 24 July 1870, and died 17 January 1888 in Witter, Madison County, Arkansas. He married (2) Elizabeth Jane Forrester 29 May 1890, daughter of James Forrester and Pricey Crabtree. She was born 23 April 1873 in Arkansas, and died 31 March 1964. Notes for Robert H. Reeves: OBITUARY: Robert H. Reeves, 87, a lifelong resident of Madison County died Saturday, August 9, at his home on Route 5, Huntsville, near Aurora. Mr. Reeves was born June 3, 1865, near Witter and spent his entire life in that vicinity. He was the son of Robert Levi and Elizabeth Goad Reeves. He was married to Jane Foster on May 29, 1890. A retired farmer, the deceased did not belong to any church group but had been a Christian for many years. Survivors include his wife and a son, J.. B. Reeves of the home. A daughter, Louisa Reeves Bolinger preceded him in death. A sister, Mrs. Reetie Spurlock of Route 4, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Graveside services were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Whorton Creek Cemetery with Rev. Charles L. McElhaney officiating. More About Robert H. The death of Susie Reeves, daughter of Robert Reeves, was reported in the 31 May 1889 issue of the St. Paul Republican, which said: "Last week Susie Reeves, daughter of Robert Reeves, departed this life and was interred in the Bolinger burying ground." This item was in the "Grant" community news column. Grant was an early name for Witter. The Bolinger burying ground is the Witter Cemetery.
