I did not post names recently about 6 months ago. but have been looking for 20 years. here they are as I know them. these are my ggrandparents (paternal) Nathan Curry b. 1860 Ill (unknown parents & siblings) Md. Dec.1881 Evansville,ark (1) "MRS lOUISA sHIPLEY" b. 1851 ark (unknown what her maiden name is or who "mr. Shipley" was Have been told it could have been "shipman " but do not think so. In 1900 census and 1910 census they are in wasington county,ark 1920 census they are still in washington county (i think ) but between 1920 &1930 she apparently dies because on 1930 census Nathan (naith/nate) has remarried "Molly Cooper" and lives with her son "charlie COOPER" Madison county, then there is mention of Naith (nathan ) in obit for his daughter who died "Belle JORDAN" in Jan 1935 Muskogee,ok In obit it listed Nate as living in Keota,ok I checked with that county, town etc there is nothing to indicate he ever lived there. in obit the CURRY name was listed as "CRAY" There was no death cert.filed for his dau. (she is my pat.greatgrandmother) On land records he purchased from Harrison land office 40 acres of land 1915 but by 1930 was not living on it. I can find no record of him selling. I have been told that Grandma Louisa Curry is buried in '"mt. Salem cem" near Elkins, ark However talking with oldest funeral home there did not turn up anything. caretaker of cemetery says she is not in cem if there is no stone bu also said(beytween swigs of beer) that some graves in "old part of cemetery" has more then one person buried in them because no recrods were kept or got lost. the only dates I have for her are between 1920&1930 He married Molly cooper april 28,1930 there is a Louisa Curry that died april 1,1930 but I believe her to be a african american lady and not my Louisa. My grandma said Louisa maiden name was "CLARK"? and had 5 daughters before Marrying Curry When she married Curry she was already pregnant with My grandma They married Dec.1881 and Ruie BELLe CURRY b. Jan 1882 On one census it liste Belle with James/Jim and another one that sounds like "mary" My screenreader does not read census records well.
