In reading recent list messages, there was an exchange between Peggy and Mary Hotaling regarding membership to the Madison County Historical Society, and Mary mentioned that she visited Drake's Creek, and a cemetery where her Granny was buried. I have always wondered where my great-great-grandfather, Kimbal Alonzo Moses and his wife Mary Jane Harrison were buried. They moved to at Drake's Creek in the 1880's, possibly earlier. Family stories tell he traded his farm in Kansas for a farm in Drake's Creek sight-unseen. My grandmother. Alma Adele Moses (even though she was the daughter of Lettie, daughter of Kimbal Alonzo and Mary Jane, she used the Moses surname her whole life, we never exactly knew who her father was) adored her grandfather Alonzo and grandmother Mary Jane and told stories about them, but I was so small, I didn't pay enough attention and now she is gone, too. So, that is why the exhange between Peggy and Mary interested me, since Mary referred to Drake's Creek. Can someone help me with this? Kimball Alonzo died in 1918 and I do not have a date of death for Mary Jane. Thanks for your time and Good Luck Hunting! Raye Blackman
