Jasper Resdom Griggs, 85, of Springdale, died January 16, 2000 at Springdale. He was born September 18, 1914 at Kingston, to John Wesley and Martha Clayton Griggs. He was a farmer and a Christian. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred House Griggs. Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Griggs and Joyce C. of Springdale, James C. Griggs and Joan M. of Springdale; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue Griggs Parks and Doug of Springdale; three sisters, Ova Goff and Dortha Armes, both of Springdale and Viola Finny of Winslow; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Rev. Bobby Dotson officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tyler Parks, Steve Parks, Jasper Griggs, Paul Griggs, Johnny Dale Griggs and Doug Parks.
