About a year or so ago I was doing research on my Hill line at the Madison County, Arkansas Historical Society. I came across an article that had a photo of Dr. John Robert Hill born at Beech Grove in Franklin County, Ark. The son of Robert Hill and Susan Johnson Hill. Dr. Robert Hill married Mary Ellen Wood daughter of John M.C. Wood a professional saddle maker. I have not been able to connect this family with mine however they are from the same county in Arkansas and several of the family names are the same.
