This is pretty much all the information that I have on my Robinson family line. I would like to extend it backward for another generation or two if possible. Olan Watkins ROBINSON GENERATIONS As far as I can tell, the modern history of the Robinson Family started with a William Robinson. He was born in Tenn in 1793 and died in Ark in 1840 at the age of 47. He was a farmer and he fought in several Indian wars during his life time. He married Sarah Stafford in Tenn and they had 12 childern. At some point, he moved his family to Arkansas and many of the childern were born in Arkansas. William and Sarah Robinson had the following childern David Elbert Jackson 1817 - 1891 (This is our Great Grandfather) Melisa Elizabeth Catherine William Levica Sherrod 1824 - 1887 (This is the founder of most of the Waco, TX relatives) Susanah Sarah Jane John Browing Aarons Anson Jackson Robinson was born in Dickson County Tenn on 12 Jan 1817 and married Hester (Hetty) Harer on 24 Feb 1850 in West Fork, Arkansas. He died in West Fork, Ark on 24 Nov 1891. Jackson and Hester Robinson had 13 childern. All born in West Fork Ark. Harrison Lucinda Elizabeth E. Sylvester Presley Mary L. However, before our grandparents were married to each other, I know that our grandmother was married before to a Carlton and had some children with that name. So that is the connection with Carlton. I am not sure of this, but believe that our grandfather was also married before also and had some other children. They would have been a good bit older than the aunts and uncles that I knew and I don't know what happened to them. Perhaps this will help in starting to fill in some of the blanks. I will keep looking to see if I can find anything else. Olan next day I found a couple of more things. One is a list of the childern born to our grandfather and his first wife. His first wife was born in 1864 and her name was Vianna Osborne. According to the records that I found, they had three girls, named Eva (born 24 Feb 1881), Damie (born 25 Jan 1883), and Ethel (born 25 Nov 1885). No information as to what happened to first wife. The childern that our grandmother had in her first marriage were Celia Carlton, born 1881, Thomas Carlton, born 1884, Elmer Carlton born 1886. Again, no information on what happened to her first husbane.
