Hi! I found a Vaughan family in the Court Records in Spanish Ft. Texas The Vaughn & Tucker families were related and they were in Spanish Ft. Tx. at this same time. The old Court Records from Spanish Ft. Tx. dated 1884 to 1891 are in the Nocona Public Library , Nocona, Texas. LOOK! I found a Ct.Record. defendant H.P. VAUGHN. I found in Volume 3 of "Obituaries of Washington County, Arkansas" an obituary dated 3-2-1906 listed from the Springdale News that reads as follows: /*VAUGHAN, Dalley (From Huntsville) Dalley Vaughan died at his home near Clifty Thursday of last week. The deceased was a brother of Sheriff Vaughan. */There were two Ben Vaughans that were Sheriff of Madison County, one was my ancestor, Benjamin Franklin Vaughan who died in 1903. The other was, I believe, Benjamin Everette Vaughn, who was Sheriff when this Obituary was written. Both Bens are NOT related. The thing is, neither man had any known brother named Dalley. Ben Everette Vaughn lived around War Eagle, not Clifty, and all his family including his brothers did as well. Ben Franklin Vaughan's line lived all around Clifty. So I suspect this Dalley Vaughan chould have been his brother. But I have no information on him, there is none found on the 1900 Madison or Washington County Census and I'd like to know if anyone knows of this man. Does anyone have any information on the family of Isaac Titsworth who was married to Mary J. Tucker about 1849? I am particularly interested in finding their daughters' families. I have just joined this list.  I am trying to help a friend find her grandfather, George Thomas Burnett, who was born in Tennessee about 1890, but who had some connection to Arkansas.  In 1900 George and his sister Josie were orphaned and living with his grandmother, Nancy Grimes (her real name may have been Sarah?) in Rutherford County, TN.  Nancy had a daughter, Ida Clark, with her in addition to the two children. In 1850 G(rief?) G. C. Grimes was living in Cannon County, TN.  By 1860 he was in Madison County, AR with his wife Sarah and children, where the family remained in 1870 and in 1880.  He was married to Sarah J/I Smith in Cannon County, TN. Does anyone on this list have information on this family?  Is it possible that Nancy Grimes of Rutherford County, TN was the same as Sarah Smith Grimes of Madison County, AR? Any help very much appreciated--will be happy to do look-ups for you in Bedford County, TN published records. Carolyn Smotherman
